Common questions.

No. When you pair your phone, a unique security token is generated and stored only on your device. Every command requires this token — it is never exposed or transmitted outside your encrypted connection. Even someone on your network cannot control your PC without it.
None at all. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs that collect data. Everything stays between your phone and your PC. We don't have servers that see your commands or files.
Yes. PCLink connects through a secure relay so it works anywhere — on mobile data, at school, at work. Your PC just needs to be on with the agent running. Wake on LAN from outside your home requires port forwarding on your router, which the app walks you through.
Wake on LAN requires a wired Ethernet connection and must be enabled in your PC's BIOS under Power Management. It does not work over Wi-Fi in most cases. Make sure your PC is plugged into power as well.

Common Issues

PC shows as offline
Make sure the PCLink Agent is running in your Windows system tray (bottom-right of taskbar). Try right-clicking the tray icon and selecting Restart Agent. Check that both your phone and PC have internet access.

Wake on LAN not working
WoL requires a wired Ethernet connection and must be enabled in BIOS under Power Management settings. It does not work over Wi-Fi on most PCs. Your PC also needs to remain plugged into power.

Can't pair my device
Make sure the agent is running and showing a QR code. Codes expire after 5 minutes — if it's expired, right-click the tray icon and select Pair / Repair Device to generate a new one. Try entering the 6-digit code manually if the QR scan fails.

Commands are slow or not working
Check your internet connection on both your phone and PC. If the PC shows online but commands fail, try restarting the agent from the system tray.

Privacy Policy

PCLink is designed with your privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, usage analytics, crash reports, or any other personal information. No data is sent to our servers — because your commands never pass through servers we control.

Local Communication

The app communicates with the PCLink Agent on your PC through an encrypted WebSocket connection relayed through a secure server. The relay server facilitates the connection but does not store, log, or inspect the content of your commands.

Security Tokens

When you pair your phone with a PC, a unique security token is generated and stored locally on your device. This token is used only to authenticate commands. It is never transmitted to any third party.

Third-Party Services

PCLink does not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, or third-party data processors. No third-party SDKs that collect user data are included in the app.

Data Storage

All app data — paired devices, custom actions, scheduled events, settings — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. You can delete this data at any time by removing the app.

Children's Privacy

PCLink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Description

PCLink is a remote PC control application that allows you to send commands to a Windows PC running the PCLink Agent from your mobile device.

Use at Your Own Risk

Commands like shutdown and restart take effect immediately on your PC. You are solely responsible for ensuring commands are sent intentionally. PCLink is not liable for any data loss or other consequences resulting from use of the app.

Permitted Use

You may use PCLink only to control PCs you own or have explicit permission to control. Unauthorized use to access another person's computer without consent may violate applicable law.

No Warranty

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PCLink and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the app is the intellectual property of PCLink. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the app without prior written permission.
